	In 2010 he has been appointed lecturer for channel coding at the Institute for Communications Engineering (LNT), Technische Universität München (TUM). In 2012 and 2013 he has been lecturing for channel coding at the Nanjing University of Science and Technology (China). Since 2014 he is lecturer for channel codes with iterative decoding at the Institute for Communications Engineering (LNT), Technische Universität München (TUM). He received the Italian National Scientific Habilitation as Full Professor in Telecommunication Engineering, both in July 2017. He is/has been active in the DVB-SH, DVB-RCS and DVB-S2 standardization groups, as well as in the standardization of error correcting codes for deep-space communications within the CCSDS. He is IEEE Senior Member and he serves IEEE as reviewer for Transactions, Journals and Conferences. In 2013 he has been Editor for IEEE Communications Letters. 	Sylvia Mattarollo wurde 1979 in Bad Tölz geboren. Nach ihrem Abitur im Jahre 1999 begann sie ihre Ausbildung zur Reiseverkehrskauffrau, die sie bereits nach zwei Jahren mit der IHK–Prüfung abschloss.
	Seither ist Frau Mattarollo im Bereich des Geschäftsreise-Managements bei einer renomierten Firma in München tätig. Seit 2008 ist sie mit Thorsten Kalweit verheiratet und heißt seither Sylvia Kalweit.

	Innerhalb des Projekts LNTwww wirkte Sylvia Mattarollo freundlicherweise als Sprecherin bei verschiedenen von Thorsten Kalweit realisierten Videos mit und sorgte so für eine angenehme stimmliche Abwechslung und für eine überzeugende akustische Darbietung der Lerninhalte:

	Described is our e-learning project »LNTwww«, which began in 2001 and was finished in 2024 with the completion of the English version. The intention of this article is to make this e-learning course on the subject of »Communications Engineering« a little better known in the university community. 	It is difficult to determine the exact number of users for our concept, as there is no fixed entry point. Rather, many paths lead to our platform and you can move around it for different lengths of time. Based on a number of indicators $($not explained in detail here$)$, we currently expect at least ten ~~thousand~~ (longer) hits per year for the German version.
