This book describes essential fundamentals of analog as well as digital transmission technology.  Further details of digital signal transmission - such as error probability calculation and system optimization - are covered in the book  Digital Signal Transmission .

The description builds on the books  Signal Representation  and  Linear and Time Invariant Systems.  Knowledge of  Stochastic Signal Theory  is helpful, but not essential.

The subject matter corresponds to a  $\text{lecture with three semester hours per week (SWS) and two additional SWS exercises}$.

Here is a table of contents based on the  $\text{five main chapters}$  with a total of  $\text{23 individual chapters}$.
